Drifted Trails was born from a simple frustration — that most Sri Lanka travel felt interchangeable. The same itineraries, the same hotels, the same commentary delivered from the front seat of a van. We knew the island deserved better. So did its travellers.
We are a Destination Management Company in the truest sense — not a booking engine, not a package seller, but a team of people who have spent years learning Sri Lanka at a level most visitors never reach. Every member of our team has lived, worked and travelled deeply across this island.
What we offer is not a product. It is a point of view — shaped by genuine curiosity, long relationships with the people and places we work with, and an uncompromising belief that travel should leave you changed.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Travel is a privilege. It deserves to be treated like one.
I have spent my entire career in travel. Not as a hobby, not as a second chapter — from the very beginning, this industry has been my world. And precisely because of that, I saw what was going wrong.
Somewhere along the way, Sri Lanka became a product. Itineraries were copy-pasted. Guests were moved from place to place on schedule, ticked off against a checklist, and sent home with photographs but rarely with anything deeper. The care had gone out of it. The curiosity. The genuine desire to connect a person to a place in a way that actually meant something.
Drifted Trails exists because I believe Sri Lanka deserves better than that — and so do the people who come here. This island is ancient, layered, surprising and deeply human. It rewards those who slow down, who ask questions, who allow themselves to drift a little. It reveals itself only to those who are paying attention.
Every journey we design carries that belief. We are not the right company for everyone. But for those who travel with intention — who want to feel changed by where they have been — we will give you everything we have.

Our team is Sri Lankan. We grew up in these landscapes, learned these histories from our families, and have spent years building relationships with the island's finest guides, chefs, and artisans. This is not research. It is lived experience.

We inspect every property, vet every guide, and walk every route before recommending it. If it does not meet our standard, it does not appear in our itineraries — regardless of how celebrated or convenient it may be.
